Sheriff’s Family Day
Sheriff’s Family Day is a fun community event hosted by the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation (SAFSLO). The event is held annually in September at the Madonna Meadows next to Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo.
The event is free to people of all ages and is intended to entertain and educate the public on the positive role that our local law enforcement and safety personnel play in our community, including the display of their equipment and demonstrations.
Family Day allows attendees the opportunity to participate in different activities and experience firsthand the excitement and satisfaction of coming to the aid of others. It offers those who are considering public service as a career the chance to speak with other people who are already doing the job.
FREE T-shirts, Hot Dogs, and Bike Raffle Tickets for children up to age 12.
We’re Back! The next Family Day is September 10th 2022 from 10:00 to 3:00

Annual Meeting / Dinner
The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation Annual Meeting/Dinner is for the Board and membership to acknowledge and install new Officers for the coming year and to present recognition awards to our Gold & Silver Sponsors. In addition, this event gives our members and their guests an opportunity to discuss with Sheriff Ian Parkinson the activities of the Sheriff’s Office and other available services. The event takes place annually and is an important part of the representative aspect of the Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation.
