The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation (SAF) provides sustained charitable public funding for select projects, training, and equipment to San Luis Obispo County Law Enforcement organizations.

SAF is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit formed to provide funding that complements approved budgets that best serve the Community. Our funding augments the purchase of needed equipment, training sessions, K9s, and many other projects. The most immediate goal is to increase our members and sponsors so we can expand what is provided.

Our law enforcement agencies know that they can come to us for their needs. We would like to thank our members for their continued support. Your funds help us keep our promise to lead the way to public safety.

Leading the Way for Public Safety

The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation (SAF) helps augment essential training and equipment excluded from annual law enforcement budgets. Our funding has amplified resources provided to Search and Rescue for much-needed equipment like all-terrain vehicles, watercraft, and planes.

SAF has assisted the Sheriff’s Office with construction funding for the Coroner’s Office, Women’s Jail, and the award-winning Behavior Health Unit.  Law Enforcement is always looking to be better prepared with supplemental training that is not in their standard budget.
