We Need You! Volunteer Opportunities With The Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation
Article By Renee Osborne
The continued success of the Sheriff’s Advisory Foundation depends on the dedication and support of our members and the greater community. As some of our incredible volunteers have transitioned into new opportunities, we now have a few key roles open, and we’d love to have you join us.
Do you have a few hours a month to spare and a desire to make a meaningful impact? Volunteering with the Foundation is a great way to support law enforcement, stay connected with the community, and be part of something bigger. Below are a few roles where we could use your talents:
🔹 Administrative Secretary
Are you organized and detail-oriented? This role assists with managing membership details and supports Membership Chairman Tracy Weed in planning the Annual Membership Dinner. This position is flexible and can be shaped around your schedule and interests—minimum commitment is 3 to 5 hours per month.
🔹 Newsletter Coordinator
Love storytelling or content creation? We’re looking for someone to help coordinate our newsblasts, which includes gathering content, photos, coordinating with our webmistress and social media team, and occasionally writing articles. Expect to spend about 4 hours per month making our updates shine.
🔹 Social Media Enthusiast
Are you a Facebook or Instagram pro? We’d love your help in keeping our platforms active and engaging. You’ll receive content and images—we just need your creativity and consistency to bring them to life online. We aim for at least one post per week, totaling around 3 hours per month.
Whether you’re looking to lend your professional skills or just want to get more involved in a cause that matters, we welcome your energy and ideas. Every little bit of help makes a big difference.
